Split ends + Wasting time

I really need a haircut. I waste hours each week picking at my split ends. The habit is gross, completely useless, and distracts me from my reading. This chart made me laugh though.

Wednesday wishes + Heels

So I ran into the wall while running in an obstacle course last week (don't ask) and injured my already bruised knee. I hope I stop limping soon...I really want to wear my new shoes.
I also wish these were the heels I was talking about (via Fancy).

Wisdom teeth + Yelp parties

I was in the middle of getting a cavity filled yesterday (TMI, I know) when my dentist suddenly declared that I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out before it got any worse. As a result, I haven't eaten since 9AM yesterday and desperately want to take a bite out of these toothy-looking cupcakes.

There's also a big yelp event tonight I've been looking forward to. How will I take full advantage of all the free food now? The problems I am plagued with are no joke.

Chocolate + Stress

-eating. It's the middle of the night, and I just devoured a whole bar of Toblerone while trying to decide whether or not to send in my deposits for law school. How do you guys deal with stress? I have a friend who can't eat when she's stressed -- if only I were so lucky.

Choices + Important decisions

“We often feel paralyzed by choice and make no choice. But the thing is, no choice is a choice. If you’re not doing something about it, you’re doing something about it.”

Adolescence + The real story

via Fancy
“Adolescence is best enjoyed without self-consciousness, but self-consciousness, unfortunately, is its leading symptom. Even when something important happens to you, even when your heart’s getting crushed or exalted, even when you’re absorbed in building the foundations of a personality, there comes these moments when you’re aware that what’s happening is not the real story. Unless you actually die, the real story is still ahead of you. This alone, this cruel mixture of consciousness and irrelevance, this built-in hollowness, is enough to account for how pissed off you are.”
― Jonathan Franzen, The Discomfort Zone  (via Slaughterhouse90210)

Why do we never seem to finish growing up? Even though my teen years are (unfortunately) long behind me, it sometimes feels like life has yet to start.

Matchstick cookies + Dance dares

I was planning on finishing one of my long-winded entries today, but my brain is intent on taking a very long vacation. Here are some matchstick cookies instead. Remember these?

And to make this completely random, here's Emma Stone dancing behind people. I love her dress. And moves.

Wednesday wishes + This bathtub

The water pressure for my shower nozzle is so weak sometimes I feel like I'm being drooled on.

Sigh...I have such problems.
